Obama Cinema

There have been some great independent videos made during this long election season, as well as some by well-known Hollywood directors, often available on YouTube. In fact, that was the idea, to make them viral in order to influence voters. To be honest, most of my favorite ones have been posted in support of Barack Obama and Joe Biden—well, I just couldn’t find any made for McCain/Palin that I thought were funny, genuinely interesting, compelling or in good taste, that didn’t attack anyone in a nasty or racist way, IMHO.

On the Hollywood/big name director side, I couldn’t resist this one—Director Ron Howard weighs in on the election in a reprise of some of his best-loved characters:

Then there are a few of my favorite independent videos. If you know of others, please let me know by leaving a comment. (I’m not including Tina Fey’s portrayals of Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live here, because they were made for commercial television and were widely available online.) Here are a few you may or may not have seen:

So, wassup? You are going to vote now—aren’t you? I’ll see you in line at the polls on November 4th, if you haven’t voted already. Yes, you! It’s up to all of us to make change.
