Cathryn Hrudicka was asked to perform in “Sounding the Margins,” a tribute to composer Pauline Oliveros, in 2002, with an ensemble of notable musicians, vocalists and composers. The event was hosted by Sarah Cahill.

Between 2002-2010, Cathryn has participated in a number of ensembles, performing important works by Pauline Oliveros, Terry Riley, Phil Minton, John Cage, Cornelius Cardew, Jon Raskin, and other key composers and sound artists of the current century. A list of credits is available by request.

In 2005, Cathryn was honored to be asked by Pauline Oliveros to serve as a substitute instructor/guest artist for two sessions of her Women in Music class at Mills College, where she discussed her own compositions in progress, the creative process, and careers in the arts. Pauline is a long-time mentor and friend of Cathryn’s, along with her partner, Ione. Mills College was recently ranked in the top 2%, or top 75, of colleges in the U.S.A. by Forbes Magazine. Its Contemporary Music Department is world-renowned,
